HOW TO APPLY

Step one: read our admission requirements and portfolio requirements carefully.

Step two: email (preferred) or mail completed application form and portfolio materials to info@yukonsova.ca

Step three: Arrange for your official transcripts to be sent to Yukon SOVA.

Step four: Mail a cheque or call us with credit card information to process the $30 application fee.

International students: we highly recommend that you get in contact with the Yukon College’s International Education Coordinator, Yoshie Kumagae, before you submit your application. There are a few extra steps for our international applicants, and Yoshie knows this process very well. Yoshie can be reached via email at: ykumagae@yukoncollege.yk.ca

HOW TO SUBMIT

Your portfolio and portfolio assignments must be submitted by the deadline along with the Yukon School of Visual Arts application form and all supporting materials. Each part of the application must be clearly labeled with the applicant’s name.

If you are submitting your portfolio digitally, please send a link to a Dropbox file to info@yukonsova.ca.  We recommend following-up with an email to ensure we have received all of your documents. If you are mailing your application, please submit all portfolio material on a clearly labeled USB stick.

The completed application form can be submitted to info@yukonsova.ca ahead of your portfolio submission, just let us know when we can expect your portfolio. Application form available here:

APPLICATION FEE

There is a non-refundable $30 CAD fee for each program application. Please mail a cheque or money order made payable to “Yukon College” or indicate that you wish to pay by credit card over the phone (we will call the number you have provided for credit card information).  Applications without fee payment are considered incomplete and cannot be processed.

TRANSCRIPTS

Signed and sealed official transcripts must be sent directly from all previously attended secondary or post-secondary institutions by post only. Grade 12 students may submit an interim transcript, in addition to a copy of your most recent report card, and arrange to have your high school send a final transcript when it becomes available.

PORTFOLIO

We require a written statement, 10 images of your work, and 2 process shots. Further details can be found on our portfolio requirements page.

SUBMISSION DEADLINES FOR FALL 2019 (SEPTEMBER) ENTRY 

Spring Equinox Deadline: March 31, 2019*

*We recommend this deadline for students applying out of Yukon Territory.

Pre-Summer Deadline: June 1, 2019
