PROGRAM SUPPLIES

ART SUPPLIES:$250-$350/ semester

Students are expected to provide materials for their classes, and will be provided with a list of supplies to purchase in advance of each semester. Additionally, at the beginning of the school year we organize a SOVA Art Bag with most of the materials required for the first & second quarter (aside from some printmaking and casting materials). Art Bags come in a free SOVA tote - they are available the first week of school and cost around $220.

While optional, it is highly recommended that students bring a 500 GB (min) hard drive for storing 4D video and film projects.

Books & TEXTBOOKS: $200

Students are required to provide the books and textbooks required for their classes. We will provide you with the list of required reading before classes start.

**We have recently made the switch eBooks to replace the textbooks for Visual Culture Studies and will provide students with the link to purchase before classes start.

ACCOMMODATION: $750- $1500 per month

Students should budget anywhere from $750 to $1500 per month for housing. As with anywhere, be sure to ask landlords about any extra costs not included in rent—such as utilities or internet.

FOOD: $650+ per month

Prepare for food and household goods to be a little more expensive in Dawson than you might be used to. Eating out is also expensive, and although there are no fast food chains, there are plenty of options for those days you don’t want to cook for yourself!
