FIELD TRIPS

We spend the first semester introducing the new Foundation Year cohort to what makes our program so special: our community and the land we study and create on. Visits continue throughout the year to regional sites of historical and cultural importance, with guidance and interpretation from local experts from the arts and culture community.

Field trips typically include visits to:

• Dänojà Zho Cultural Centre

• Parks Canada sites such as:

  • Dredge No. 4 National Historic Site

  • Bear Creek Compound

  • Ddhäl Ch'èl Cha Nän (Tombstone Territorial Park), the Klondike Institute of Art & Culture

  • The Midnight Dome
